The cross river ultra-modern poultry farm is one of the few poultry plants in Nigeria aim to creating job employment and boosting agricultural industry in Nigeria, the plant have capacity of processing 24000 birds per day.
The factory is Situated at Odukpani, an outskirt of Calabar. The processing factory and the poultry plant are part of agro-based industries established by the administration of Governor Ben Ayade to create an economy for the state as well as jobs for the youth.
The Calachika Factory which have been ready for operation since December 2021, but was affected by inadequate supply of bird, this prompted the Government to speed up the completion of the poultry farm.
The plant have commenced full operation as Cross River state Poultry Farm Limited began the evacuation of birds from the facility to the Cross River Chicken Processing factory.
The factory is set to get certification to export it’s product as it project production of up to 60,000 birds per day.
