#ENDSARS: The Management of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) has sanctioned all the Officers involved in the unlawful treatment of one Mr Adedotun Clement, a Uber Driver who was seen to be brutalised, pepper-sprayed and forcefully dragged into a black Maria during the #ENDSARS anniversary protest.

In a statement released by the LNSA, two officers and the Supervising Officers found wanting were charged with disreputable conduct as a result of the assault on a member of the public, the use of pepper spray which is not a standard issue kit for officers of the Agency and general unruly behaviours capable of breaching public peace all of which is in contempt of the Agency’s rules as contained in the LNSA Handbook Articles E (ii) & (iii), O (iv) and N (x) which covers conduct with the general public, negligence and general conduct on the job.
Further more, the two Officers directly involved in the assault of the uber driver were publicly de-kitted and suspended from the Agency for the next 2 Months.


According to report by The Nation, the uber driver while addressing journalists at the scene, said he was in his car when he heard people shouting. He decided to run for cover and left his car. He further explained that on his way back, trying to locate his car, some officers stopped him and started dragging and beating him.
Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) has also tender an unreserved apology to the general public and to Mr Clement Adedotun (the Uber Driver) for the conduct of the Officers at the Endsars anniversary protest.
