If They Don’t Give Us Justice, This School Will Not Open, Protesting members of the Ijaw Youth Council, Lagos State chapter on Thursday, gathered in front of Dowen College, Lekki Phase 1, demanding justice for the death of a student, 11-year-old Sylvester Oromoni Jnr.

The group also kicked against the exoneration of the ten suspected staff and students for the alleged murder and negligence of the school by the Lagos state government on Tuesday.
Recall that the Director of Public Prosecution, Lagos State, Adetutu Oshinusi, concluded that based on the findings of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, there was “no prima facie case of murder, involuntary manslaughter and or malicious administering of poison with intent to harm against the five students”.
The five students and five officials of Dowen College who were linked to the death of late Sylvester Oromoni, were thereafter, exonerated by the Lagos State Government.
