The Governors and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today converged on Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, to receive hundreds of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP during a PDP Rally in Lagos tagged ‘Lagos 4 Lagos’.

The defectors, who were led by one of the chieftains of APC in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Adediran aka JANDOR,
were received by the National Chairman of the PDP, Dr Iyorcha Ayu.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Mr Adediran, said that their decision to join PDP was borne out of undemocratic practices within the fold of the APC in Lagos State, adding that it was high time Lagos is ruled by true lagosian.
He expressed optimism to lead the Party to victory in the next Governorship Election in the State, having drawn inspiration from PDP leader in South West, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
Receiving the defectors, the National Chairman of PDP, Dr Iyorcha Ayu, commended the defectors for deeming it fit to join the PDP in its struggle to rescue Nigeria from its present economic predicament.
