A 22-year-old Corp Member, Arnold Maniru from Abuja was arrested by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for Importing 4 kilograms of drugged candies from the UK.
The NYSC has confirmed the arrest of Meniru, and also made a statement on how the body doesn’t tolerate such criminal behavior among Corp members.
A statement made by Femi Babafemi, the Director, Media and Advocacy said the youth Corps member serving with a government agency in Abuja was arrested on Saturday 28th August 2021 following the interception of a consignment at the warehouse of a transport company.
It was gathered that the candy was laced with Arizona, a strong variant of cannabis and some liquid.
