Paul Labile Pogba of Manchester United was welcomed as a hero when he arrived in Guinea, his native country.
Pogba, 29, was born to Guinean parents in Lagny-sur-Marne, Seine-et-Marne. He is a practising Muslim.
He has two elder brothers, Florentin and Mathias, who were born in Guinea and are also players for the Guinean national team.

Florentin is presently a defender for FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, while Mathias is a striker for ASM Belfort. Pogba grew up a fan of Arsenal.
He helped France win the FIFA World Cup in Russia in 2018, defeating Croatia in the final.
