The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) had commenced an indefinite strike action on August 1 over “irregular payment of salaries”.
The Nigerian Government, in a bid to force them back to work had instituted a suit against NARD. The doctors still insisted on moving back to work.
President Muhammadu Buhari scolded the doctor for giving priority to their complaints over the important service they are rendering to the Nigerian population at large. He also added that their outstanding salaries won’t be paid until proper verification exercise has taken place.
