Unknown Gunmen Kill Deposed Anambra Traditional Ruler With His Driver.

Mr Alex Edozieuno Anakpulu, a former Igwe of Mkpunado Aguleri in the Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra state has been killed by some unknown Gunmen on Friday, alongside his personal driver.

Tony Olofu, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command has led a team of police operatives to the scene along Ikem Ivife Village by Ezu bridge, Otuocha, Anambra East.

Edozieuno was deposed last year after he along with eleven other traditional rulers and oil magnate, Prince Arthur Eze, visited President Buhari, without authorisation by the state government.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that the victims are Mr Alex Edozieuno, a 62-year-old man, former traditional ruler of Nkpunado Community Anambra East LGA and his driver Chukwuemeka were attacked by unidentified gunmen by 10am along Ezu bridge, Otuocha” the PPRO stated.

“The exhibits recovered from the scene include; one Lexus 470 with plate reg No Aguleri-1 belonging to the victim and some expended ammunition.”
